The Joys of Potty Training

January 30, 2007

It’s been somewhat of a headache until recently. Rylee has decided to take over the job of getting her, in Papaw’s words, “House Broke.” We apparently weren’t moving fast enough for her.

As long as we leave the bathroom door open she takes control and uses it when she needs to. If it’s not open while she needs to go, and she sees you entering the bathroom, she’ll run you over to get to the toilet and put her seat on it and go.

It’s rather amazing that she decided to do this. On a normal day she’ll use the toilet 90% of the time, other days it’s only about 50-60% depending on how sick or playing she is, but she tries to make amends. If she doesn’t get there in time, or forgot that it was something she was supposed to do, you will promptly here an, “uh, oh” directly preceding or following the action, and often go to the bathroom then, or make it well aware that a new diaper, pull-up, or panty needs to be put on.

So we’re right on track have having her potty trained by her 2nd birthday, Well, she is anyway!

Nothing New

January 24, 2007

School is going great, I feel comfortable in all of my classes of right now. We’re all doing well, just getting over some colds, except Tom, who doesn’t get sick, just coughs more than normal. We’ll try to get some more pictures up soon.

Out of My Mind

January 11, 2007

I don’t think I’ve ever felt more out of my mind than last night. My brain took a vacation from me. I think it overheated so it was probably needed. This has been the most insane first week of classes ever, and I still haven’t made it to all of them yet. I only have 12 hours, but two of my classes are 1 day 3 hours. I’ve spent about 18 hours in the library this week already, if not more, and I still haven’t been able to get caught up!!! Back to preparing that 10-15 page oral report for Tuesday.

As you can tell, I’m already getting the “Daddy stop bothering me while I’m studying” look. The next 16 years are going to be fun.
