You Won’t Do It!

December 31, 2006

Rylee loves playing hard. Her new thing is testing Tom when he’s got a playful upside down hold on her. ‘You won’t do it,’ is the phrase she has been uttering today. Laughing hysterically all the while seeing if daddy would ‘do it.’ Usually meaning tickelly or gently tossing, etc. Normal rough housing that she loves.

This is a picture of Rylee wearing her new hat I made.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

December 26, 2006

I wanted to get so many more pictures, but I just didn’t get the opportunity to take more. Hopefully I’ll get some more while Tom is still on vacation though.

This is Rylee being mad that she is stuck in her carseat. She’s figured out how to get out of it so keeping her in can be a challenge sometimes.

Rylee has been trying to open presents since the tree went up. We’ve let her open one or two, but she’s been trying to get them all. Christmas morning she opened one present, and I guess she thought that was all she was getting because we couldn’t get her to quit playing to open any more!!

This is one of many of Rylee’s new Texas A&M Outfits. Gig’Em!

One of Rylee’s Christmas presents that she opened early was a VSmile Baby. She loves to play with it, and for the most part is understanding it quite well.

Spider Monkey Rylee

December 20, 2006

I know that we have mentioned it before, but the one thing that Rylee absolutely loves to do is climb. No matter how hard we try to stop it, she will defy us. Our plan, make it safe for her. However, there are never ending opportunities for her to step up one foot at a time. Here’s a little idea of what she loves to do.

In Daddy’s Shoes

I heard a lot of stomping to find a sight very similar to this one today. The initial time the corresponding shoe and foot matched, after I found the camera and asked her to put them on again she just stuck her foot in the closest shoe.

An Early Christmas Present

December 6, 2006

Rylee got some presents in the mail today from my mom, and she wanted to open one up immediatly. My mom was on the phone and said that since Tom and I never wait (although we’re trying to actually hold off until Christmas this year so Rylee will enjoy the day, and we’re both going to be here) to ‘let that baby open one up if she wants too.’ She got Lego’s!! I love Lego’s so I don’t mind. I know some people go crazy with small pieces and loud music. Not us. We enjoy them, because Rylee enjoys them.

Don’t forget to click the pictures to enlarge them!

Christmas Gift: Love

December 5, 2006

Dr. Norman Vincent Peale stated that Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer, and more beautiful. I must agree. There is a feeling that comes with Christmas that far too few take the time to notice. The world has turned Christmas into presents and spending money and rush and frustration. As a child I use to love to open presents on Christmas Eve and couldn’t wait to see what Santa would bring me the next morning. My teenage years were full of the Christmas season working at the local grocery store, and Christmas Eve was spent waiting for the store to close a couple of hours early so we could eat dinner with our families.

We got our camera today!!

December 5, 2006

rylee-grumpy-blog-size.jpgrylee-pretending.jpgRylee wasn’t having a good time, so she’s not too excited about her picture being taken. I had to think to myself, what’s more important? Rylee being grumpy or letting everyone see pictures of her?

PURPLE!

Rylee went to bed disappointed she wasn’t wearing ‘pink’ pajamas. Tom mistakingly said ‘pink’ and not ‘purple’ when asking which one’s she wanted to wear. So Rylee responded excitedly with ‘pink.’ When Tom pulled out the ‘purple’ nightgown she just glared, no words, no sounds, just a glare.

Things changed this morning though. She was all about PURPLE. She wanted her purple cup. She wanted to watch Teletubbies. They had a purple day. Every time they said ‘purple’ Rylee said even louder, “PURPLE.” She even put on a purple outfit today.

PURPLE PURPLE PURPLE!!
