What’s new?

September 23, 2006

I’ve been trying to get some decent pictures of Rylee, and a new video. Hopefully I will soon. Other things that have been going on…

I start a seasonal job Monday working in a home office for a company that puts up commercial grade Christmas lighting and does landscaping

Rylee is becoming more and more fearless, which is actually quite terrifying. Some of her new stunts?

  • Using her drawers as stairs to climb onto the top of her dresser so she can dive onto her bed.
  • Diving off the ottoman onto a fold out chair she has, she will occasionally try to move the padding.
  • She likes to climb onto the table and do chin-ups on it also.
  • She’s using the dishwasher to climb up on the counter tops. (On a side note, she’s also very helpful in unloading the silverware. She likes putting it in the drawer.)

She’s a dare-devil, and if she falls in the process? A laugh is usually what you hear, occasinally a frustrated growl if her new trick doesn’t quite work out how she was expecting it to.

Yes, we do out best to make sure she’s not going to break her neck in the process.

Comment by Matt

September 15, 2006

Since I didn’t get the chance to transfer the comments over to this side, here’s one of Matt’s comments. I don’t want it to be neglected:

I went to pay my water bill this morning, because I’m a complete moron and forgot to mail it in last week, and I arrived there around 0900. The building was closed, but the sign said “Open at 0900 M-F.” There was at least one other vehicle on the lot, so I know someone was in there. I waited for about two minutes and decided to leave and grocery shopping which would eat up some time and allow me to pay my water bill on the way home. I was about on isle 3 when i realized that the shopping list Monica had laid out for me was still at the house, and I almost started to freak. I mean, who the hell does their shopping without a proper list? Not me. I chose to forge ahead, however, and managed to adapt to the situation at hand. When checking out the cashier gave me a questionable look, but I paid her little mind. She seemed to lack considerably in the “personality” department, but I just assumed it was because she was an obese black and I was using real money compared to W.I.C. …”That’s Women, Infant, and Children meaning government afforded food stamps to those who who might be to friggin’ sheltered to understand.” Anyway, I felt a racist vibe coming from her and I thought about telling the manager in hopes of getting a discount or something for my groceries to quell my argument, but the reasonable side of me prevailed itself and I chose the higher road out as any mature person would have done. I commented on how PHAT her ass looked in those spandex and just how distinguishable she represented herself with tha’ gold tooth. I was in the store for about thirty minutes and then left to fill up my gas tank. I was able to put in almost 14.5 gallons of regular unleaded at $2.68 a gallon. My gas tank holds about 16 gallons, but I still had about an 8th of a tank left before I even started to fill up. Luckily I didn’t have to drive too far today. Today is also my day off, which allowed me time to run these errands. I have Tuesdays and Wednesdays off during the week, and not the typical Saturday and Sunday. It’s ok though, because I find that I can get more done during the week than on the weekend, and if I wanted to see a movie or something, the theatre is seldom crowded during the weekdays. I saw Hollywood Land the other day and it was all right. I still find myself torn as to whether George Reeves was murdered or actually killed himself like they say. It’s probably a cover up, just like everything else in Hollywood. Look at Marilyn Monroe and George Burns…I don’t think that coincidence explains that, do you? I know Burns was 100, or so they want you to believe, but seriously his untimely death leaves a lot open to speculation. I had lunch at Backyard Burger and chose their waffle fries with my value meal insted of their seasoned fries, because they’re just overtly seasoned and irritate my senses, especially the one controlling taste. I ate my lunch and stopped by the lavatory where I went to the restroom and urinated in a commode, before leaving and heading back to pay my water bill. My buddy Javie called me the other day, and he was pretty upset about the Miami Dolphins losing their opening game on Thursday night. He’s always liked the Dolphins and wasn’t happy when my Saints took Drew Breeze as our new Quarterback. We also got Reggie Bush who preformed weel in the pre-season and ran for just under 100 yards on Sunday in his first ever pro game which we one. Man, I tell you, my staff infection has finally healed, and it sucked. It was on my knee ant ate it’s way down to my patella which almost cost me some surgery, but it ended well with just antibiotics. Staff grows on the human body and can infect an open sore spreading rapidly as a flesh-eating virus known to KILL. But I survived and have since read a book on the subject so now I know when the doctor’s are lying to me or not. Whewh!!!.. I’m tired. My water bill was 32 dollars and I finally paid it later that day. The employees opened the store ten minutes late, and had I not left so irrationally, I could have paid it that morning.
